What You'll Need:
- 1 medium head cauliflower, broken into buds (4 cups)
- 2 cups fully cooked ham, cubed
- 1 can (3-oz) mushrooms, drained
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, cubed
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup soft bread crumbs (1-1/2 slices)
- 1 teaspoon softened butter
Step by Step:
- In a covered saucepan, cook cauliflower in salted water for 10-12 minutes, drain.
- Combine ham and mushrooms.
- Melt butter in a medium saucepan, stir in flour, add milk and cook until mixture thickens.
- Add cheese and sour cream to sauce, stir until cheese melts.
- Combine with cauliflower and ham mixture and pour into a 2-quart casserole.
- Combine bread crumbs and butter. Sprinkle on top.
- Bake uncovered at 350 for 40 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
